yay! we’ve been busy as bees getting our new menu all ship-shape and ready for you – it’s been great fun during the testing phase, but it’s time to share the loveliness with everyone else. we’ve kept the classics, tweaked the burgers, and added some new treats for you to try. here are some highlights:
- we’ve started making our own burgers. made with two cuts of quality beef (from the lovely crawshaws), minced on site to ensure consistency, and weighing in at 6oz each, these are a true meaty treat. styles available include classic, cheese and bacon, chilli, new yorker, hand of god (served with an argentinian style relish), and – named after our favourite italian – the concari burger (topped with pesto and mozzarella). they’ve been flying out during their first week and seem to be a firm hit.
- if meat isn’t your thing, we’re also making our own falafel burgers. vegan friendly in their purest form, these seasoned chick pea patties are served with houmous, salad and chips. also available with a side of tzatziki, and in any of the above styles for non-vegans.
- beer battered sandwiches – classic fillings on sliced bread, griddled in our own beer batter to give a delicious crisp coating. yum!
- a regular pasta dish – penne pesto with mozzarella (also available with added free-range chicken).
and lots more, including daily specials and a rotating guest burger :) our popular home made sausages will continue to feature of course, and our full range of freshly made sandwiches will also be available weekdays 12.00-2.00. our handcut chunky chips now come in 2 flavours, regular or seasoned.
as ever, all our chicken and eggs are free-range, and all our meats are supplied by crawshaws. the full menu will be served 12.00-2.00; 6.00-9.00 monday to friday; and 12.00-6.00 saturday. home cooked sunday roasts will remain on sundays (obviously) served 12.30-3.00, or until we run out.
